SUMMER ENRICHMENT PROGRAM

Summer enrichment is a key component to the unique nature of our program. It is during the summer months when many students regress academically. To ensure that our students do not lose their scholastic momentum, they are enrolled in a comprehensive summer school. As Determined to Succeed students then begin the following school year, they are able to hit the ground running, having participated in a program that not only maintains but sharpens their subject knowledge and academic skills.Our students attend Crossroads School for a six-week, all-day summer session. They benefit from this elite private education designed to give each student the academic attention that they need. The small, two hour-long classes supplement and extend the student’s school-year curriculum. The students improve their writing, reading comprehension, presentation, and study skills. They experience a positive and engaging classroom environment that helps to boost their confidence and self esteem. Having a full course load of academic, enrichment, and sports classes, our students thrive in this nurturing educational atmosphere.

During the middle school years, Crossroads has proven to be the best possible opportunity for our students. However, Determined to Succeed will find the summer program each year that best suits our groups’ evolving needs, making certain that they will be academically and socially stimulated every summer.
